主要研究领域: 从事中层大气波动和长期变化的研究，在大气动力学和辐射理论、资料的诊断分析、GCM数值模拟等方面打下了良好的基础。长期坚持原创和探索性科学研究，在已往的研究中取得了一些先进成果，主要包括利用我国雷达观测数据证实了MLT区域大气潮汐之间的非线性相互作用现象；建立了一个精确地估计大气参量长期变化趋势及其突变点的统计模式。
